Top Five Fantasy Football Players Thus Far Stuck

This year has been an interesting season for Fantasy Football. Aaron Rodgers started slow, uncertainty surrounded some of the top running backs and kickers are still a part of the game (an injustice I look to remedy).

I'll quickly give you the top five overall, based solely on production this season thus far. Broken up into Quarterbacks and non-QB's.

Quarterbacks

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

It was only a matter of time before he broke through this season. He had two rough weeks against Chicago and Seattle, and has been on a tear since. Our fantasy teams thank you, Mr. Rodgers.

2. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins

The kid is a fantasy stud. Griffin is getting it done through the air and on the ground. If he keeps up this pace, he should reach 3,700 yards passing and 1,100 yards rushing. He'll also have somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 touchdowns with half of those being rushing.

3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

He's going to have to finish at number one this season if his real life team has any hope of saving this season. Without members of the coaching staff, Brees looks to be calling his own number a lot this season. The New Orleans rushing game has been sub-par this season and that just means more work for Brees.

4. Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Brady is aided by two rushing touchdowns so far this season, which I'm sure Stevan Ridley owners appreciate. Brady also has just three interceptions this season. Even without Aaron Hernandez for most of the season, and Brandon Lloyd being the Redskins version of Brandon Lloyd, Brady is still excelling.

5. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

Ryan had his worst game of the season before the bye, but before that had been on fire. It also helps he's the QB of the only undefeated team left in the league.

Non-Quarterbacks

1. RB Arian Foster, Houston Texans

He's the definition of a sure-thing in Fantasy Football. Foster leads all non-QB's with 9 Touchdowns.

2. RB Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens

Rice is a dual-threat, and is second (behind only Darren Sproles) in receptions by a Running Back. He racks up all-purpose yards, and has likely helped you rack up wins.

3. RB Alfred Morrs, Washington Redskins

Who saw this coming? Not even Mike Shanahan can take credit for this. Morris was a 6th-round draft pick out of Florida Atlantic that has beat out known quantities like Tim Hightower and Ryan Grant, and also lesser-known quantities in Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster for playing time and seized the opportunity. He's second in the league in rushing and has now involved himself in the passing game.

4. WR Percy Harvin, Minnesota Vikings

Harvin is the most versatile player, with all apologies to Darren Sproles, in the NFL. Assuming your league gives you credit for individual return touchdowns, he's been great for you this year, and now he's racking up catches to help in PPR leagues.

5. WR A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

He had a quiet week against Pittsburgh, but he's been a fantasy beast so far this season. I wouldn't put much stock into seeing more performances like Sunday night.
